1 :Apparent color:
The color Thermochromic Pigment (powder) appear at first called apparenthue. And the Thermochromic Pigment capsule is the globular particles, wheen the particles is more fine, the scattering of light will be stronger. So, in the same situation, the more fine pigments will be more light,the coarse pigment will be more bright. For example, compared with the pigment powder of DR - 50 - P and DR - 50 - AO.The former seems to be darker.But after the mixing the ink ,the situation will be contrary. The color concentration of the is much higher than the former.
2 :Ink performance:
The average particle size of the pigment is smaller , the surface will be larger. Therefore, the ink make out with fine pigment will be more dry , the liquidity will be much poor. So, when using the fine paint should choose the one with high solid content anf low viscosity.Good liquidity ink oil.
3 :Solvent Resistance:
The average particle size of color pigments be smaller, the capsule wall of the microcapsule be more thin, and the solvent resistance will be declined.
4 :The method to comparing the fitness of the Microcapsule Thermochromic pigment :
Taking an A4 copy paper , take some samples of the two different pigments for 0.1 g and put it up on the paper. Take turns ro squeeze the two samples with the hand , make two traces for about 6 cm long (Note :the strength should be the same). Then use hair brush to brush away the floating color on the paper. Comparing the color of the residual traces .The darker the pigment particles is more fine, after turning into the ink,when printing on the paper the tinctorial yield will be higher.
