The solvent choice of the Thermochromic Pigment
The Thermochromic Pigment have the good tolerance for gasoline, kerosene, mineral oil, benzene, toluene, xylene, cyclohexanone, turpentin, DBP/DOP plasticizer and aqueous solutions of PH = 2 to 7.5 .If soaking for 3 months under room temperature won’t affect its effect discoloration. When using the butyl acetate as solvent, the shelf life will be shorter than the solvents as above.Methanol, ethanol, acetone, propyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, DMF, the butanone, butanol and ethyl acetate such low boiling point solvent will make the performance of the Thermochromic Pigment be affected in couple days to 2 months ,and reducing the concentration color, (the solvent above C6 will have little impact of the paint). So,when mixing and printing the ink ,please take the following measures:

Thermochromic products
Our Thermochromic products are available in a wide range of formats, colors and activation temperatures. It will change color at a specific activation temperature which you select. This activation temperature is defined as the temperature above which the thermochromic has almost achieved its final clear or light color end point. The color starts to fade at approximately 4˚C below the activation temperature and will be in between colors within the activation temperature range. The color change is “reversible,” i.e., the original color will be restored upon cooling.
